A workshop for artists and writers with a focus on fun and creative play with award winning poet Julia Webb and artist/designer Natty Peterkin.

This one day course uses various accessible creative exercises to get you thinking about the nature of text and image and ways to combine the two.
All experience levels welcome.
The workshop runs from 10am to 4pm with a one hour lunch break from 12.30pm – 1.30pm. There will be a comfort break mid morning and afternoon and drinks and snacks can be purchased downstairs in the cafe.
Some materials – paper, scissors and collage materials provided but please bring some coloured pencils or felt tips if you have them. You may wish to bring your own scissors or glue if you don’t wish to share.
Please be aware that the event space is upstairs and there is no lift.
Natty Peterkin has a degree in Illustration and an MA in Communication Design from Norwich University of the Arts. He is the in-house designer and illustrator for Gatehouse Press, art editor for Lighthouse Literary Journal, illustration tutor for Public House Norwich and is a freelance artist and graphic designer.
Julia Webb is an award winning poet and is also a collage artist. She has a first class honours degree from NUA and a poetry MA from UEA. She is one of the founding editors of Lighthouse Literary Journal and works for Cafe Writers and Gatehouse Press, as well as teaching creative writing. Her first poetry collection “Bird Sisters” was published by Nine Arches Press in 2016. Her second collection “Threat” is due out with Nine Arches in May 2019.
About the venue: Carberrys is a dog friendly cafe and has a very friendly and laid back resident Labrador called Toby.
