I am very excited to announce that my book is out and is available for purchase over at the Nine Arches Press website. I am all set for the launch next week at The Greenhouse in Norwich (11th May).
I have a blog post about how I wrote the book over on the Words and Women blog today.
I have also now taken up residence at stall 156 on Norwich market. I am writer in residence during May and will be there one or two days a week writing poetry and inviting people to donate words and phrase for a collaborative poem. I am also inviting other writers and artists to come and hang out for an hour or two to respond to the lively market environment. I have always loved markets and the mish mash of fresh produce and other interesting goods. In fact I had my own second hand clothes stall for a little while in the 1980s that I took to hippy fairs and a little market in Diss. Yesterday morning Mustard TV came and hung out with me for a couple of hours and they made a short video that you can see here.
In other news I will be travelling to London next weekend to take part in the Weatherfronts – Climate Change and the stories we tell conference at The Free Word Centre. Then on 19th I will launching my book as part of The Poetry Parlour at Waterstones in Birmingham. Details of that event can be found here.
